My vision of the future
Wednesday, April 28th, 2004More pictures
Sunday, April 25th, 2004I added some pictures tonight. Some from camping and some from the Easter Beach trip. Tell me what you think.
that time of year
Tuesday, April 20th, 2004This morning in my half-sleep state I started solving Fourier Transforms. While somewhat cool that also disturbs me. I think it was the pizza I had late last night … and maybe the Mountain Dew. It’s that special time of the year when everything is due.
Good quote:
“Homosexual ‘marriage’ is like taking a water molecule, stripping off an oxygen and adding another hydrogen and still calling it ‘water’”
I played paintball this weekend with the Bible study guys. Loads of fun. Got ate up by ticks and have lots of lovely welts over my body. One particularly good one right on my sternum which actually bleed. Oh, but so much fun.
Ok, back to studying.
I rock
Wednesday, April 7th, 2004James, I rock more than you
I’m totally teh r0×0r. Teh wins even.
I’m going to the beach over Easter Break. It’ll be cold and I’ll do homework, but at least it’s the beach, right?
Only a few more weeks of school left. I can make it. Not sure what I’m doing this summer yet. I know I’m working at at least one camp (non paying). Hopfully I’ll get hired to help run the robotics camp the EE dept. does over summer for the HS kids. Hopefully. Summer classes too. Nasty long 10 week class. I’m a glutton for punishment. Seriously. Linear systems. All summer long.
I need a “real” job for July/Aug though. Any ideas?

Just a little behind
Friday, April 2nd, 2004So, I think I finally get a little break. The past 12 days have been absolutely draining. Lots of stuff to do, but there were some really great points. That’s what I want to share.
The single greatest moment having to be the Nickel Creek concert down in Buies Creek.
It was one of the most sublime evenings of my life. Seriously. Fabulous concert. Unfortunately, most of my pictures didn’t turn out because of the angle I was at w/ the lighting and all. I got a decent one of Chris playing afterwards for us that I’ll post.
After the concert I went over the barrier in front of their bus to get my CD autographed. We (at that point Jamie, Tyler, and I) waited around for about 15 – 20 min, when somebody started chanting for them to come out. They finally did, but refused to autograph, instead saying “we’re just going to play for y’all.” So, there I was, 2 ft. from my Mandolin God, Chris Thile, while they played. It was utterly glorious.
Most sublime.
They even played my favorite song, “This Side.” Best mando riff ever.
They concluded their informal concert by playing “Be Thou My Vision” while everybody sang along. Just beautiful.
Oh, and the bass player could step-dance. That’s amazing.
Mego kudos to Tyler for hooking me on NC in the first place several years back. I’m sure glad for him
Apparently, if I’d stayed around for even longer they would have come out to sign autographs, but I went to hang out w/ the CU peeps. Spent the night w/ Caleb. Too tired to drive back.
Last night, I was back at CU for their Choir Concert. Good times, good voices.
