Tywilvania!

Monday, December 23rd, 2002

Talking to Tyler tonight … he’s a cool guy. He has Milanos … mmm ….

Anyways, we’re starting a new country. It’s called Tywilvania. We were fed up with America after reading this story:

Coffee, Tea, or Should We Feel Your Pregnant Wife’s Breasts Before Throwing You in a Cell at the Airport and Then Lying About Why We Put You There?

Tyler is on the $2 bill, his dog is on the $3 and I’m on the $6 bill. We’ll have $1.50, $63, and $0.05 coins. Let us know what you think …

Tis A Glorious Time of the Year

Monday, December 23rd, 2002

Yep … any time of the year when Lord of the Rings comes out is glorious. I went with 12 other people at 9PM on Wednesday to see the latest installment, The Two Towers, at Crossroads 20. I must say that coming out I wasn’t all glorious and happy-like as I was coming out of FOTR. As a movie I loved it. But, as TTT I had some issues.
The whole Aragorn falling off the cliff and dying thing bothered me and while I can see the reason I just thought the Osgilliath and Faramir thing could have been done differently and not so drastically different from the book. Though, one has to wonder how much of the changes were the fault of New Line Cenema and not PJ. Overall I’d go see it again and I’m just as excited about ROTK as before … Go see it.

I stayed out to about 1AM last night hangin’ with my “urban tribe.” We’d just finished up running Arising Light Productions one act musical called “The Light.” I ran sound … or acted like I did. Then we hit the Golden Coral then back to Meredith’s.

I have news for you … It’s two days to Christmas. Is it just me or does it not really feel like that? I’m definitely not in the “Christmas spirit” as they say. I’m not sure if that’s a good thing or a bad. But I’m definitely having issues with the whole Christmas presents thing. I think I’ll just settle for feeling horrid about getting things for ppl and not giving anything in return.

Saturday I went to a LAN party at Mark’s. w00t! … I’d been waiting all semester for that. We played some Battlefield 1942 and C&C Renegade. Both of them are ok, but not as much blood as I like.

Well, back to the PHP programming. GoRobotics.net version 3.0 is coming along nicely. I’m still hoping for a Jan 1 release date, but I’m having some trouble with finding a host.

Dead week!

Tuesday, December 3rd, 2002

Dead week, dead week! Thou are wonderful! Yes folks. It’s that time of year again – Dead Week. That wonderful week of bliss before exams. Where you don’t get much homework since you are frantically trying to finish all the final projects and cram for those looming horrid tests. Oh the joy.

But, on the bright side, to break up my hard work (or to waste tremendous amounts of time) I’ve got some really great links:

LEGO Death – Classic scenes of horror and pain in LEGO scenes. Good stuff.

We Are Robots – um … its robots … I must warn you that a lot of these aren’t very … er …. “family friendly.”

And my new favorite website!!! Home Star Runner!!! It’s the greatest! Strong Bad e-mails and Marzipan’s answering machine rock. If you’re a new visitor click on the “First Time Here” button.

I also have a really funny song for you to listen to – Dolphinboy. It’s rather morbid … but funny nontheless. I got that from Andrew …

If you want a Christmas present from me please tell me what you want … I’m really struggling with what to get people!
